High Street, Lake District

Wings of Gold

This is part of a drystone wall that runs along the length of High Street and follows the path of an old Roman road. There have never been shops here; it is named so because of it being an ancient pathway. I was very lucky with the weather on this day as there was the perfect mixture of cloud and blue sky. As sunset neared clouds loomed overhead, moving in from the east. Thankfully there was enough of a gap in them to give me some light and create a beautiful sky.
