Draycott Sleights, Somerset

Mint Sprig

The morning started with a 4:30am alarm in order to get out and photograph sunrise from the Mendip Hills, taking in the panoramic landscape view from there. Fog was forecast but I didn't expect it to be quite so dense. Draycott Sleights sits at about 200m above sea level and it was enveloped in it, with visibility down to less than 100m. I quickly changed tack and photographed the avenue of Beech trees there instead. Amongst the greyness of the fog the bright green of spring leaves stood out.
