Crook Peak provides one of the most distant views of Glastonbury Tor in good visibility. On this particularly misty morning the view from the hill tops was clear and offered an amazing perspective over the blanket of fog covering the Somerset Levels. Just as the sun broke the horizon it turned the sky a beautiful orange hue. It is easy to see why Wedmore (in the middle of the picture) was known as an island.
