Middle Hope, Somerset

Middle Hope

North of Weston-Super-Mare is a place far removed from the commercialism of many of Somerset's coastal attractions. Middle Hope is a peninsula that stretches out into the Bristol Channel and its character is far more rugged than the mud and sand beaches that are synonymous with most of this part of the coastline. In summer, as the sun sets it lights Middle Hope's secluded bays. It was one of these bays that I visited to make this picture at high tide.
