Pythagorean Geology

I haven't climbed Pen Yr Ole Wen but I can imagine it being a slog as its southern route is an almost continuous 1 in 2 gradient. Its classic triangular shape makes it rather photogenic, particularly when viewed from neighbouring Cwm Idwal. I took this photo from the banks of the river Idwal as it flowed north towards Pen Yr Ole Wen. Despite the light being subdued I found plenty of colour in the dusk sky and the green moss growing on rocks in the river.
