Crook Peak, Somerset

Crook Under a Crack

I stood and watched clouds skirt along the horizon, cursing them as all hopes of catching the sun breaking over distant hills vanished. I'd been at the spot to take this photo since 40 minutes before sunrise and I had to wait another hour and a half before I saw any sun. Eventually it broke through, for all of one minute, before cloud swallowed it up again. These fleeting moments of light are some of my favourite.
