Someone who grew up in Wells recommended that I visit this location for the view. It took me far too long to act on that recommendation and this picture was taken on second visit there several years after receiving the advice. All of the elements are familiar, with Hay Hill visible in the mid-distance, except the foreground is filled with the autumnal canopy of trees on top of Milton Hill in Wells, which can't easily be seen from the more westerly stretches of the Mendip Hills. Of course, the icing on the cake was the freezing mist which was dense and low lying.
