Will's Neck Warmers
These clumps of heather growing on small earth mounds reminded me of furry cushions or fluffy objects. I'd been exploring the footpaths dotted around Wills Neck, the highest point on the Quantock Hills, and seen lots of heather, but this was the most remarkable patch. The view of the Brendon Hills, Exmoor and the distant coast finished the scene, making a superb backdrop.
