Willow trees are part of the character of the Somerset Levels. They thrive on the wet moors and can be found dotted around field borders, often on the banks of drainage channels that cross the land. The area around Burrow Mump features many of them. I was interested in the line of Willow trees in this scene, particularly in how each has its own unique shape. The gap in the line, perhaps where a couple of trees once grew, made a nice frame through which to view Burrow Mump on the horizon behind.
